Today, we are talking about closet augers.
When to use a closet auger
If your toilet is clogged and a plunger isn’t helping, you may want to give the closet auger a whirl.
Keep in mind that most closet augers only reach about 21 inches. For blockages further along in the sewage line, a closet auger will not help.
What is a closet auger?
A closet auger, aka a toilet auger, is a plumbing tool that has an offset hand crank, a sleeve handle, and a special auger bit at the end.
The closet auger exists to break down clogs or retrieve rags and other obstructions.
